Who we are and what this covers
Home Warranty Checkup ("we," "us") is a brand operated by Luxury Brands International Inc. We run warrantycheckup.com, a consumer referral service that connects homeowners with home warranty providers and related home service companies. We are not a home warranty company and do not sell warranties or insurance. This policy explains what we collect on this site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The service is intended for United States residents.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, state, your answers about your home (ownership, property type, home and equipment ages), your contact preferences, and anything you include in a message to us.
- Collected automatically: IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser information, the page you came from and the ad or campaign that brought you here (click and creative identifiers), your interactions with the quiz, and timestamps.
- Consent records: the exact consent language shown to you, when you agreed, and a third-party consent certificate (see below) that documents your session on the form.
- Information we do not collect: we do not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identifiers, precise geolocation, health information, or other sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Advertising measurement and consent technologies
- AppLovin (advertising measurement): we advertise on the AppLovin network and use the AppLovin pixel on our quiz pages. It collects device and browser information, IP address, and page events (page view, form submission) to measure and improve our advertising. When you submit the form, a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address and phone number may be shared with AppLovin to match the submission to the ad you saw. For more information about AppLovin's collection and use of your information visit https://legal.applovin.com/privacy/. You can opt out of the AppLovin pixel using the notice bar on our quiz pages; we also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track browser signals by not loading the pixel at all.
- ActiveProspect TrustedForm (consent certification): records your session on the form (page content, interactions, and the consent language shown) and issues a certificate that documents your consent. Partners that receive your inquiry may claim that certificate as proof of consent.
- Cloudflare (hosting and security): processes IP addresses and request data to serve and protect the site and to store the information you submit.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set advertising cookies of our own. Our quiz uses your browser's local storage to remember your progress during a session and to remember your choice on the notice bar. The AppLovin pixel and TrustedForm may use cookies or similar identifiers as described above. You can clear or block storage in your browser settings; blocking it may prevent the quiz from remembering your progress. We honor the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals as an opt-out of the advertising pixel.
How we use information
- To match your request with, and share it with, the partner(s) listed on our Marketing Partners page, who may contact you as described in the consent you give on the form.
- To contact you ourselves about your request, including by automated technology where you have consented.
- To measure, operate, secure, and improve our advertising and website.
- To document consent, honor opt-outs, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We share your information with: the partner(s) who receive your inquiry; service providers that act on our behalf (hosting and data storage, consent verification, advertising measurement, communications tools); professional advisers; and government or legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety. If our business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer to the successor under this policy. We do not share your information with unrelated data brokers, and we do not share the content of your messages to us with partners.
Because partners compensate us for referrals, providing your information to a partner may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state privacy laws, and the AppLovin pixel may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of both — see the next section.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Residents of California and certain other states have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information and of targeted advertising. You can exercise it two ways:
- Online: use our opt-out form.
- By email: write to [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and the name, email, and phone number you submitted.
We process opt-out requests within 15 business days: we stop providing your information to new partners, suppress your record in our systems, and relay your request to any partner that already received it. We also treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of advertising pixels on our site. Submitting our form with the consent box checked is a specific authorization to share your information with the listed partners; you may revoke it at any time using the same methods. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we have collected about you and receive a copy; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit its use.
To make a request, use the opt-out and privacy request form or email [email protected]. We verify requests by matching the information you give us against our records (typically the email address and phone number you submitted), and we may ask a follow-up question when needed. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need more time. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we will explain the outcome of the appeal and, where applicable, how to contact your state attorney general.

We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information. California residents may also request, once per year, information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes ("Shine the Light"); the Marketing Partners page and this policy describe those disclosures.
Data retention and security
We keep lead and consent records for as long as needed to service your request and to document consent under telemarketing and consumer-protection laws — generally up to five years after your last interaction with us, or longer if a law, investigation, or dispute requires it — and then delete or de-identify them. Opt-out and suppression records are kept so that we continue to honor them. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
