These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of warrantycheckup.com and the Home Warranty Checkup service. By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Home Warranty Checkup ("we," "us," "our") is a brand operated by Luxury Brands International Inc., a United States company. Our business-to-business marketing operations use the name Wickfield Media. Contact details are on our Contact page.
2. The service
Home Warranty Checkup is a free consumer referral service. You answer a short set of questions about your home, and we share the information you submit with one or more home warranty or home service companies (our "partners," listed on the Marketing Partners page) who may contact you with quotes and offers. We are compensated by partners for referrals. That is how the service is free to you.
We are not a home warranty provider, insurer, broker, or agent. We do not sell, underwrite, administer, or service any home warranty plan, and we make no promises about eligibility, pricing, coverage, or outcomes. "Qualifies" or "may qualify" on this site means only that your answers fit the general customer profile our partners serve; each provider makes its own decisions under its own terms.
3. Eligibility
The service is intended for residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old and who own or control the phone number and email address they provide. By submitting a request you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Your submission and consent
- You agree that the information you submit is accurate and current.
- Consent to be contacted is given on the form, in the language shown there, and is documented with a third-party consent certificate. Consent is not a condition of purchasing anything.
- You may revoke consent or ask us to stop sharing your information at any time through our opt-out page or by email. We honor revocation requests within a reasonable time (no more than ten business days) and relay them to any partner that received your request.
- By providing an email address you agree to receive communications about your request electronically. You may withdraw that agreement using the same opt-out methods.
5. Not insurance; no advice
Home warranty plans are service contracts, not insurance, and they do not replace homeowners insurance. Nothing on this site is insurance, legal, tax, or financial advice. Coverage, exclusions, service fees, waiting periods, and payout caps vary by provider, plan, and state. The provider's contract — not our site, our advertising, or anything a provider's representative says by phone — controls what is covered. Read it before you buy.
6. Advertising
Scenarios, stories, and testimonials in our advertising are illustrative examples and may be dramatized. They are not guarantees of savings, coverage, or results. Any repair-cost figures are examples, not quotes.
7. Intellectual property
The site, its design, text, and graphics belong to Luxury Brands International Inc. or its licensors. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of requesting information about home warranty plans. Any other use — including copying, scraping, framing, or reproducing site content — requires our written permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: submit information that is false or belongs to someone else without authority; use automated tools to submit forms or extract data; interfere with the site's operation or security; or use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may block access or discard submissions that violate these rules.
9. Partners and third-party links
Partners are independent companies. We do not control, endorse, or guarantee their products, pricing, service, or compliance, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a partner. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; their terms and privacy practices are their own.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and the service are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luxury Brands International Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the acts, omissions, products, or services of any partner, arising from or related to the site or the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of information you submit that is false or that you were not authorized to provide, or out of your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the site or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you have a concern, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly.
14. Changes, severability, entire agreement
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new "Last updated" date; continued use after a change means you accept it. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site.
